Nokia X2 the real Moto E killer

Nokia X2 Dual SIM apps

Moto E is now “The budget smartphone” every other manufacturer is trying to outdo. Everyone has a different approach. Some merely try to match the spec list on paper. Some try to improve the parts Motorola left out. Nokia is the latest to test their luck on this. Before going deep into Nokia X2, let us look at some of the competitors in india.

Lava iris X1

Very good looking. Solid camera with dual flash. But the SOC is a letdown. Anyone who have used the overpriced Samsung grand and the s duos with the broadcomm chips will know what I mean. These chips use subpar videocore gpu’s that are very buggy and even incompatible with some apps. These chips may be the choice for the raspberry p revolution, but its not enough for running android smoothly.

Micromax unite 2

Infact this is a good phone overall. The soc is good. It have decent camera. And even though the screen is bigger, resolution is on the lower side. This is a spec choice which have split the decision among users. The lower resolution is less resource hungry, means more of the processor grunt can be used for actually driving the app. However you have to satisfied with the lower ppi. But the major problem with this phone is future proofing issue. If you have wondered why your Chinese rebranded phone is not getting the android updates. Here is why. The same problem is applicable here.

Nokia X2

Now here comes a proper competitor for the “budget king”. In fact, Nokia X2 is the first competitor from an international brand. The price would be higher than Moto E. But let me tell you why its justifiable.

Display

Moto E has a higher resolution display, but the Nokia  X2 have the clearblack filter. This is not some marketing gimmick from Nokia’s marketing. The tech actually improves sunlight visibility by dynamically changing the contrast and other parameters. Polarising filters keep the screen from reflecting ambient light falling on it.

Camera

Anyone who have compared  Lumia 520 camera with similarly priced androids would know this. Nokia is very serious about camera. I’m not talking about the pureview lineup. They are investing on very high level image computing companies like pelican imaging. Even their version of fixed focus camera, EDOF is cool.

Double tap to wake

This may sound simple, or even feel like a feature just for bragging rights. But hear from the people who actually use it. Its so intuitive to simply tap on the screen rather than stretching your fingers around for locating the power key. Nokia was the actual manufacturer that brought the “double tap to unlock” in the legendary N9. Now let me salivate on some dreams of a world where Nokia actively pursued Meego and made follow ups for N9. You keep reading. #doubletap #Doubletap

Glance screen

This too was a Nokia creation. Old time symbian die hards customised the hell out of their standby screens with some crazy graphic art. It was revived by Nokia on some Lumia devices and it was Motorola’s Moto X that did the same in android. Lg even claims it as its own creation knockcode. But think about the price difference between these devices.

There are many more reasons for liking Nokia X2, but they depend on the specific tastes of the user. I personally like the boxy design, and the bright colors. The newly added multitasking menu is also good looking. Mentioning redundant features is not the way we talk here. Feel free to comment, share .

You will find the KNOCK ON and KNOCK CODE
KNOCK CODE is way tooooo beyond the security. More than 80K different combinations. And to be exact 86,367 combination of taps. A smooth streamline to access your smartphone

    Nokia, BB, Samsung...etc...
And now, running for the cheapest craps.

LG getting better than any of the high-end flagships.
Am not commenting this post only because am a LG smartphone user. Am posting this because that device which i own made me do this you gota use'em to feel'em.

Look at the lineup. Not only the high ends and also the budget smarties...
Even L series are having customized Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. And the Quad processor, a gig of RAM and a power up of 2000mAH+, 8MP cam.

LG G2 made his benchmark. Even it deals with note 3.
And now the "G3". That made my heart stop.

Guys, seriously LG needs our attention....

PRELUDE

This is a venture to talk about the latest and greatest in technology with like-minded people. As a technology aficionado, my main hobby is to follow techno oriented news around the internet. But more often, the sources are widespread and it is very difficult to keep track of the same. So, I thought, I would do the legwork so that you could get an uninterrupted stream of quality tech news from a single source. From now onwards you can expect very valid and often neglected tech topics delivered to you, daily. Offers in Amazon, flipkart, snapdeal, myntra, ebay, walmart etc will be provided. Hope you all will be along with me to ride this new wave.                                                                     Yours,                         ...

The inherent flaw of Smartphone Cameras

Quality of the builtin camera has become a key selling point for smartphones these days. Samsung Galaxy K Zoom has gone to such extremes that they put a zoom lens on the phone blurring the lines of a standalone cam and camera phone. There are many who doesn’t want to buy the HTC one only because it has a 4mp cam. There are even people who bought the Nokia pureview lineup just for the camera. Today we are going to discuss an old camera tech that could sort out the low light photography problem  current phones face without adding any expensive image stabilization or even compromises on resolution. Before explaining the tech itself, first let’s learn how an image sensor captures a picture. Image sensor is a matrix of photodiodes which can just measure the intensity of light falling on it. Which means it can only generate a black and white picture. To get a colour image, we die the individual photo diodes with a primary colour. There are several layouts in which the dies a...
